Booking the handover inspection three weeks out
The date you choose decides how much leverage you keep.
In short: A pre-handover inspection booked too late produces a list nobody has time to fix.
Why three weeks
It gives the builder a working window to rectify and gives you a window to check the rectifications before the date.
What happens if you book late
The list arrives with days to go, the fixes get promised rather than done, and you settle holding a promise.
The reinspection
A second visit marks each item rectified, part done or outstanding. That document is what you take into the handover meeting.
What to send us
Your contract, the colour and selection schedule and the handover date. The more of your documents we have, the more specific the report.
On the day
Come along if you can. Seeing an item in place is worth more than reading about it later.
